A New Site is Born

Yes, that’s right…another one. The site I mentioned a few weeks ago was really just something I was experimenting with. However, developer.thewentzels.org will be permanent. Here’s an excerpt from my initial post at the new site:

Welcome. My name is Ryan Wentzel. I’ve set up this site primarily because I enjoy hacking Wordpress, but also in the hope that it will be an online resume of sorts that will communicate more about me than a traditional paper resume can.

Soon there will be an actual resume up at the site, but for now you can get an idea of some of the work I’ve been doing by reading this.

Scripturizer

If you run Wordpress check out the Scripturizer plugin. This plugin will link any Scripture references in your posts to an online Bible translation of your choice (including NIV and ESV). For example, John 3:16. I didn’t link this by hand!

Update: This plugin doesn’t seem to playing nicely. There is problem with trying to resend HTTP headers. Too bad! I really liked this one.

MyGuestmap

This is very cool.

MyGuestmap allows your visitors to add pins to a map, showing where they are and leaving a message.

I’ve put a new link titled “Guest Map” on the navigation bar above. Click it and leave a mark on the map if you like.
